The linen has been folded and bound using shibori resist techniques then dyed in natural indigo.
Made from irish linen this blue and white cushion has been washed to give that classic linen lived in look.
What is Shibori?
Shibori is a Japanese term for several methods of resist-dying cloth.
To make a pattern by binding, folding, twisting and compressing.
It is from the verb root shiboru meaning to wring squeeze and press.
There are an infinite number of ways to manipulate fabric for shibori,
each way resulting in different resist designs and patterns.
