A special handwoven block print from Jaipur in India, made by artisan block printing artists.
Well known for hand block printing and keeping alive this incredibly skilled technique. Artisan block printing uses traditional vegetable dyes, making them more eco-friendly, sustainable and an ethical fashion alternative.
Why is indigo so special?
The indigo dye that comes from the Indigofera tinctura plant is one of the oldest natural dyes known to man. Using indigo to achieve this navy scarf is a labour intensive process – the fabric is dipped and then dipped again to achieve the deep blue hues you see.
In India indigo is not just a colour but a craft in itself.
Each handwoven scarf is slightly different due to the beautifully unique hand block printing technique on fabric.
Variations may occur due to the block printing process.
Scarf Care
This handwoven cotton scarf has been hand-dyed in indigo. For the first couple of washes, wash separately on a cool cycle.
The indigo will fade in a similar way to a pair of jeans.
