Why is indigo so special?
The indigo dye that comes from the Indigofera tinctura plant is one of the oldest natural dyes known to man. Using indigo to achieve this navy scarf is a labour intensive process – the fabric is dipped and then dipped again to achieve the deep blue hues you see.
In India indigo is not just a colour but a craft in itself.
Each handwoven scarf is slightly different due to the beautifully unique hand block printing technique on fabric.
Variations may occur due to the block printing process.
Bastiste cotton scarf has been hand printed. For the first couple of washes, wash separately on a cool cycle.
Line dry, iron as desired.
