Why is indigo so special?
The indigo dye that comes from the Indigofera tinctura plant is one of the oldest natural dyes known to man. Using indigo to achieve this navy scarf is a labour intensive process – the fabric is dipped and then dipped again to achieve the deep blue hues you see.
In India indigo is not just a colour but a craft in itself.
Each scarf is slightly different and beautifully unique due to the hand block printing on fabric.
Cotton printed by hand in Bagru and scarf made in England.
Variations may occur due to the block printing process.
This scarf has been hand-dyed in indigo. For the first couple of washes, wash separately at 30 degrees.
The indigo will fade in a similar way to a pair of jeans.
