Unique Wall Hanging
A slice of shibori magic
Inspiration taken from time spent wrapping, folding and binding fabric to create shibori patterns.
Thoughtfully placed lollipop sticks create this unique wall hanging.
The deepest of indigo blues emphasise the patterns made on each stick in the process of dying fabric.
What is Shibori?
Shibori is a Japanese term for several methods of resist-dying cloth.
To make a pattern by binding, folding, twisting and compressing.
It is from the verb root shiboru meaning to wring squeeze and press.
There are an infinite number of ways to manipulate fabric for shibori,
each way resulting in different resist designs and patterns.
Every framed piece is unique and can be hung vertically or horizontally.
They hang great individually or as pairs or block groups.
